Company History
The history of TEK Industries is rich and varied. In 1983, TEK Industries was known as Phoenix Manufacturing and the main product was go-carts. In 1984, the company won its first electronics manufacturing contract, then incorporated as Tekservices. Steve Nabity, the company’s current CEO, purchased Tekservices and joined the crew in 1989. Not long after, a fire destroyed much of the operation. The company started over with nine employees.
In 1990, the company pursued an idea for an educational tool now called the AccuCut® Roller Die Cutting Machine. AccuCut is now a separate company and has made a mark for itself as a major player in the craft and education worlds. By March of 1991, Tekservices boasted 100 employees, many new clients and an exciting new venture. LazerTek was formed in 1995 to laser cut AccuCut die boards, as well as products and components for outside customers with wood and metal laser-cutting needs.
Today, TEK Industries offers a variety of services, including injection molding, steel rule dies, laser cutting, machining, fabrication, wire harnesses, cable assemblies, digital imaging, warehouse fulfillment and more. The company has worked in a number of industries, including consumer, industrial, agricultural and electronics. With an unusual ability to provide low cost and high-level service to its clients, TEK Industries has forged a reputation for excellence in its field.
TEK Industries offers employees a legacy of quality, creativity and security in business, with the promise of growth and opportunity.
