Our FPS staff of over 500 employees (both certified and classified) serve the needs of approximately 4,500 students

To Apply

We only take applications for positions we currently have open and we hold your applications on file for one year. If you want to be considered for future openings within the one-year period, simply call Shirley Flanagan at (402)727-3016 to have your file activated. After one year, you will need to reapply.

Teacher candidates will need to forward to our office a personal resume’ and you will also need to have your college forward to our office a set of credentials and transcripts verifying your college degree and your student teaching experience.

All FPS teachers will need be to certified by the Nebraska Department of Education. If you will be teaching for the first time in Nebraska, you will need to apply for a Nebraska Pre-Standard Certificate with either an Elementary or Secondary Endorsement. Before a candidate can apply for permanent certification, Nebraska has a basic skills competency, human relations, and special education requirement which must be met.
