SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

• Assists with child care while mothers attend treatment groups. Performs programmatic duties of a routine nature. A variety of activities may be required. Decision making is minimal.

PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma
• Two Years Experience

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provides ongoing supervision of children according to program philosophy, program policies, and requirements of regulatory agencies.
• Delivers the identified program that is responsible to the emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs of individual children, based on their age, ability, interests, and culture.
• Provides age-appropriate guidance in interacting with children, using discipline techniques, which maintain the child’s dignity and self-esteem.
• Develops and maintains supportive relationships with parents.
• Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
• Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
• Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
• Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies and requirements.
• Performs other program related duties as assigned.
