SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
- Performs skilled programmatic duties of a routine nature while providing support services to victims of domestic violence.
PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Two years experience
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responds to all crisis calls, assesses situation, gathers information and provides appropriate and accurate referrals and information, maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Completes intake information with incoming clients..
- Develops supportive relationship with clients.
- Advocates for clients in the community.
- Does follow-up with individual clients as assigned and updates goal planning as client coals change..
- Maintains required records and statistical information.
- Assists with training volunteers in Safe Haven facility.
- Able to work independently with little supervision during overnight shelter coverage.
- Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
- Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
- Maintains regular, prompt attendance at the office on a consistent and reliable basis.
- Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
- Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
- Performs other program related duties as assigned.
