SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

• Performs skilled programmatic duties of a routine nature while providing support services to victims of domestic violence.

PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma
• Two years experience

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responds to all crisis calls, assesses situation, gathers information and provides appropriate and accurate referrals and information, maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Completes intake information with incoming clients..
• Develops supportive relationship with clients.
• Advocates for clients in the community.
• Does follow-up with individual clients as assigned and updates goal planning as client coals change..
• Maintains required records and statistical information.
• Assists with training volunteers in Safe Haven facility.
• Able to work independently with little supervision during overnight shelter coverage.
• Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
• Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
• Maintains regular, prompt attendance at the office on a consistent and reliable basis.
• Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
• Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
• Performs other program related duties as assigned.
