Position Description

SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for generating, quoting and selling Pella Retail products through in-home presentations while offering extraordinary customer service.

 

Principal DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to:

 

Responsible and accountable for meeting individual sales goals as established in agreement with the Retail Sales Manager

 

Performs in-home sales presentations that will accommodate the homeowner’s schedule including days, evenings, and weekends

 

Self generates new prospects and leads, and builds relationships with existing customers to increase product sales

 

Demonstrates product emphasizing salable product features, pricing, and credit terms.  Addresses technical and buying objections of prospective customers

 

Responsible for timely, accurate updating of prospect activity in Pella software

 

Investigates and resolves customer issues with product delivery and installation dates

 

Available for staffing local sales showroom as scheduled (days and weekends) as well as home shows to present product demonstrations to the general public

 

Ability to quickly grasp Pella product information, operational standards and Pella internal computer systems

 

Prepares information on business transactions and submits reports as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (3 – 5 years relevant experience)

 

Computer Skills

Strong computer skills working with Excel, Contact Management Systems, Data Bases, and Microsoft Outlook  

 

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written English language skills are required as well as good customer service skills.  Must be able to present information, gather information, and respond to questions from customers, managers, co-workers and the general public.

 

Professional Skills

Must be a team player and exhibit a strong desire to learn and promote self-growth.  Must be pro-active and self-motivated. Attention to detail is required.  Must be able to develop trust, respect, and confidence of customers, coworkers and managers. Must present a clean and neat physical appearance.  Must be able to problem solve and think creatively and positively when faced with obstacles.
