Position: Recruitment Coordinator
Reports To: Program Director

POSITION PURPOSE
|
|
|
The Coordinator will work with our Director of Organizational Development on cultivating prospective new community partnerships to generate volunteers and youth. The Coordinator manages existing partner relationships and also develops and implements short and long-term marketing strategies within their specific territory to ensure an optimal geographic balance between youth in process and prospective volunteers. The Recruitment Coordinator recruits and enrolls volunteers and youth for Big Brother Big Sisters of the Midlands mentoring programs and designs and delivers programs that generate volunteers from community partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (IN PRIORITY ORDER)
|
|
Annually increase the number of interested and enrolled potential volunteers, families and youth.
|
|
Development and implementation of a volunteer recruitment and youth outreach plan that includes - among others - grass roots, collegiate and community sales, recruitment and outreach activities.
|
|
Recruit volunteers and reach out to families through an increasing number of regular face-to-face activities in community, corporate, collegiate and civic environments. This also includes engaging existing volunteers and parents in volunteer recruitment and youth outreach efforts.
|
|
Cultivate long-term sustaining relationships with mentor and youth-rich organizations, collaborators and other third parties through effective stewardship and communications.
|
|
Regularly analyze and utilize the agency’s geographic scorecard and demographic model to adjust efforts and focus to appropriately balance volunteer recruitment and youth outreach needs by both geography and by the current ratio of children participating in the program.
|
|
Track and evaluate results of recruitment and outreach efforts. Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports for both volunteer recruitment and youth outreach efforts and forecast returns on upcoming efforts.

Adhere to the agency’s beliefs and values in all job-related activities.
|
|
Participate in Agency events and perform additional tasks assigned by the Executive Director, Development Director, and Program Director

EDUCATION& RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Education Level:

Bachelors Degree required

1 to 2 years of successful sales, customer service or grassroots campaign experience preferred.
